Multiplying Polynomials Review Activity - Treasure Trap Game
$3.00
Introduce students to quadratic functions and the relationship between their equations and graphs with this fill-in guided notes and practice activity. Start with the parent function of y = x², then add and change elements one by one and have students record what they notice from the graph, including the vertex, maximum/minimum, axis of symmetry, direction of opening, x-intercepts/roots/zeros, y-intercept, domain and range, as well as other points belonging to the function shown. The first two pages can serve as guided notes during whole-group or small-group instruction, then continue the direct instruction with two more pages of investigation, or use the last two pages as an independent formative assessment or ticket out the door to gauge understanding. Designed to ignite robust classroom discussions, this activity includes eight different graphs/equations for your students to investigate for a total of four pages. Full key included.
