Get BundleMake learning Spanish fun with these simple, comprehensible input Spanish lesson plans and stories. Each lesson plan includes a story with targeted structures that can be repeated to give your students lots of repetitions. Comprehension activities to use after the story will allow you to engage your students and make sure that your Spanish lesson is truly comprehensible input.
Each story and lesson has a set of target structures that are used again and again in the story. The target structures for the lessons are:
El Perro Grande: él ha comido, ella pide, no le cree, estaba hambriento
Hueles Mal: ella huele mal, ya no te quiero, mucho queso, él pone
Los Pantalones Feos: él se viste, feo, no entiendo, en rebaja
Me Duele: me duele, me rompi, tu deberías, estabas haciendo
Each very simple story is told in two different ways. There is a printable text version, and an animated mp4 version. Tell the story as you watch it (pause if you want to stop and discuss or storyask!), or just watch it for comprehension. Each video is around 5 minutes long, with pause time for students to read the text. There is a second version of the video with only the illustrations - no text - so you can watch it and do story retells. With novice low and novice mid learners, you can tell the story as is. For novice high learners, you can add more details or write a parallel story. You could even use this story at higher levels by having students retell the story in the past.
Here’s what you’ll get in these Italian Comprehensible Input Lessons:
• Links to the videos both with and without the text
• A printable pdf version of the stories
• Comprehension question worksheets
• "Who said it?" worksheets
• Story retell worksheets
• Answer keys

“I work in an alternative campus with mixed levels of Spanish in each class that I see for a minimum of 30 days. The activities I choose to use must cover basic skills for mostly level I and II. These readings are easy to use and fit the needs of the students I get. I only used the one called "me duele" but plan on using the rest next year. Thank you!”
“Love this resource, so easy to use.”

My students were familiar with Claude Monet's work but didn't know much about his life, so this was useful info not in our textbook. I appreciated having the differentiated versions.

For French Reflexive Verbs | Grammar Lesson, Readings & Worksheets
Great way to use history to review reflexive verbs while not just focusing on daily routine - which let's be honest, is boring. Who talks about their daily routine on a regular basis? No one.

For Les Animaux Reading Comprehension: 10 A2 French Animal Passages
I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.

Thank you for letting me know about the missing link - I've updated the image and it should be working now. You may have to F5/refresh to get the link to show properly (it covers the body of the statue).
