October 10, 2026I left this as a packet for level 2 students in addition to other work when I was out for a few days due to surgery. I offered a few bonus points if they selected 2-3 readings to keep them busy when everything else was turned in. They loved learning about animals and many students who didn't have time while I was out chose to complete the entire packet on their own time for fun once I was back.

For Impressionism Digital Escape Room | High School Art / French Games
September 13, 2026I have spent the afternoon trying out this escape room for myself. First I tried the French version. Without the resource telling me what they codes were, I never would have figured it out. Knowing the code, I continued to work with the resource to figure it out. But honestly, this escape room needs a lot of work to be a go in my classroom. I was very disappointed. I would suggest that each lock have a direct question that the students would be looking for. I then decided, why not try the English version and see if this might work better for my students. While it is better, the direct questions are still missing and I think I would have to give a lot of hints and directions. The worst page is the Musée D'Orsay page. I literally had to copy the picture and put it into chat gpt to figure out what this wanted. More details are necessary because students would not be prepared for this.
Reply from Frenchified
Sorry to hear about your difficulties. A direct question and answer would defeat the purpose of an escape room activity - the activity is supposed to be challenging and force the students to read the clues very carefully, looking for anything that might seem out of place. I have requested that TPT refund your purchase.

For Bon Appétit - Comprehensible Input unit 7 for beginning French CI
April 27, 2026I like the variety and real-life links in this resource. I also like the comprehensible story of Stéphane. I do not like how the dictionary is organized and I also think that some of the authentic listening (like the Peppa Pig one) could use an activity to get students listening for specific information. I was able to make a resource but it would be nice to have something already included. Also, if I assign one activity on Google classroom (the story for example), I had to cut and paste it as the resource dos is all one pdf.

This is an issue with your school district blocking the sites - were they able to reach the main game site at all? Or was it the links from the game site to the other sites that were blocked? If they were unable to reach the game site, it's possible that publishing from within your district will fix the problem - if you'd like to troubleshoot it, email me directly at heather@frenchified.com

For Beginning French Curriculum | Comprehensible Input Unit Plans Bundle Units 5–8
November 9, 2025I've taught with TPR for years, but hadn't gone full CI due in part to the amount of prep. I was just completely overwhelmed when I looked at other CI curriculums. How thrilled I was to discover Frenchified. So streamlined and much more "do-able!" Everything is ready in this curriculum (visuals, practice activities and assessments). I especially love how major grammar topics and culture are both embedded within the presentations. The only thing I would ask is to add Google Slides as an option in lieu of the Power Points. Thank you so much for sharing all of your work with us!
Reply from Frenchified
Thank you so much for your kind review! If you look in the distance learning folder, there should be a Google slides version of the PowerPoints for you. They are broken up into smaller files sometimes, but they should be available to you. If you can't find them, please send me an email and I'll make sure that you can access them.

October 22, 2025I was thrilled to find this timely resource created by a teacher whose resources I trust. My students were all abuzz about the theft at the Louvre and these readings helped all of my classes understand and discuss the theft. For extension, I'm asking my students to write about what the thieves will do with the stolen items.

For Beginning French food vocabulary practice game café activity au restaurant
October 21, 2025I bought it for my grade 9 A1-A2 French students as we are doing a food unit and I think that the product is labeled for the wrong age group and timeframe. The majority of my students finished the escape room today in 7-10 minutes, which was a big shock. It was advertised to take 45 minutes so I was really counting on this to hold my students over on a day that I was not feeling well enough to teach. I would suggest adding more difficult challenges as this is too easy for high school students. On the other hand, I love the concept of this resource and appreciate the time that the creator put into making it. It was also easy to access and assign to students.
Reply from Frenchified
I'm so sorry that this didn't meet your needs. I think A2 may be a bit too advanced for this activity - it's for the very beginning (A0) French students, so I agree that it would not take someone who is at an A1-A2 level very long to do. I would be happy to offer you a refund if you would like one, please email me directly at Heather@frenchified.com.

For Complete level 1 Beginning French curriculum bundle of readings, units, games
July 11, 2025This was scaffolded wonderfully and worked very well for my grade 9 French students (who had minimal French instruction in grades 5-8). Students enjoyed it, and reported that at the end of the (one-semester) course, they felt like they could really understand and communicate in French. Support was awesome, when needed. We got through 6 of the 8 units, and only a few of the extension activities like digital escape rooms and foldables. Excellent balance between CI and grammar-focused instruction. I have now purchased the second year resource, as my confidence in this developer's skill is very high. One negative--I found the listening test prompts too easy for my students; I had to increase the length of the passages.

For French Digital game French adjective activity tout, toute, tous, toutes
June 13, 2025We played the game as a class to review using the different forms of tout and the students definitely enjoyed it. I couldn't find any good resources targeting this specific skill until I found this game and I am very happy with the purchase. It was also a nice change from the usual online games we play in class.
